UNODC Head Pays Courtesy Call On the Chief Justice

The Head of Office, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Ms Sharon Lesa Nyambe, on Friday October 27, 2023 paid a courtesy call on the Chief Justice, Hon. Justice Alfonse Chigamoy Owiny - Dollo, in his Chambers at the Judiciary headquarters

The purpose of the visit was to brief the Chief Justice on the UNODC partnership with the Judiciary under Strengthening Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice in Uganda, which also supports emerging crime areas.

The Chief Justice pledged the Judiciary's commitment to the partnership with UNODC to support capacity building, ICT, and environmental justice for effective delivery of criminal justice to the people of Uganda.

The meeting was attended by HW John Paul Edoku, Deputy Registrar Planning, Research and Development who doubles as the Judiciary Focal Point Person for UNODC Programmes and Ms. Angela Tusiime, Public Information Assistant at UNODC.
